Data, data, data...

The following data was partly obtained through the Historic Register of Fiat Auto - now the owner of Alfa Romeo.

If you are interested in the history of your Junior Zagato 1300 or 1600 (or any other type of Alfa Romeo) send a fax or letter to:

Fiat Auto
Centro Documentazione
Attn.: Mrs.Elvira Ruocco

Viale Alfa Romeo

20020 Arese(MI) / Italy

Fax: +39-2-9315746

If you state the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) and the type of car you own, Mrs.Ruocco will be able to send you the details like date of manufacture, sold to..., engine number, body color and interior color. Please be patient, it might take a while until you'll receive the data, because the Centro Documentazione is a one woman show.

Alfa Romeo GT 1300 Junior Zagato, Type 105.93, VIN 1800985 was:

  • manufactured 4th of February 1972 and sold to Alfa Frankfurt on 8th of February 1972. MOT took place on 4th of April 1972 in Frankfurt.
  • road registered for the first time in Luebeck (North Germany) 24th of October 1972. List price was DM 16.950,- incl.VAT.
  • sold by the first owner 29th of July 1974.
  • standing between 29.7.1974 and 18.11.1974. The second owner road registered the car 18th November 1974.
  • de-registered 19th of January 1977.
  • again standing for nearly one month when the third owner registered on the 17th of February 1977.
  • standing idle in a garage between 5th of December 1977 and 19th of June 1978. During this period it was not road registered.
  • bought by the fourth owner and registered on the 19th of June 1978 only to be de-registered permanently one month later: 26.7.1978.

The car or better what was left of it is in my possession since 13th of June 1983. Since July 1978 no license plates have been mounted on front and rearbumper or if you put it in other words: Since over 20 years the Zagato was not driven.

Initially it was painted in AR 014 (white zagato), now I sprayed it in AR 737 (grey metallic).

The original 1300cc engine has the engine number 005.30*66098* but is now replaced by a 2000cc engine.
