Gianni Chizzola mentiones in his book "Autodelta" that this car was assembled by DIPRE ESPE, the experimental department of Alfa Romeo.
Other sources mention S/N 750001 as being a prototype that was destroyed after production began.
Again other sources mention this S/N as having been assembled on March 2, 1965 and being red.
